Thomas E. Shaw Jr., was born on August 28, 1947 in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was the first of ten children born to the union of Thomas Sr., and Alberta (nee Ellis) Shaw. Thom departed this life on July 6, 2010 at the Christ Hospital after a long illness. Thom leaves to mourn his passing, his beloved parents, Thomas and Alberta Shaw, Sr., Mother in Law Catherine Dent, three sons, Tresy Dent, Vayda Wright and Alyn Shaw, daughter D'Etta Shaw, brothers, Melvin and Michael Shaw, Jimmy Goggins (Shirley) of Atlanta, GA, sisters Yvonne Niles, Regina Render, and Pamela Shaw of Cincinnati, Deidra Jackson (David) of Atlanta, GA, Leslie Shaw of Winterpark, FL, and Rachel Betts of Denver, CO, six grandchildren, one great grandchild, and a host of other relatives and friends. Thom's sister Amy Dyer preceded him in death. Services will be held on Saturday, July 17, 2010. Visitation will be from 11:00 until Noon. Service to begin at Noon at The Greater New Hope Missionary Baptist Church (3655 Harvey Avenue. Cincinnati, Ohio 45229) Dr. Donald E. Jones, Sr. Pastor.
